What are the criteria or qualifications for membership?

  • Minimum of 3 years as an active organization working with children (i.e. programs with children or doing legislative work for children).

  • Has a good reputation/good standing as a child rights organization.

  • Has a Child Protection Policy or Code of Conduct in working with children and commits to abide by Child Rights Network’s own Child Protection Policy.

In case the applicant has no Child Protection Policy yet, it should formulate its own before the next Child Rights Network General Assembly or adopt the Network’s policy once it becomes a member.

  • Shares the legislative agenda and advocacy of the Child Rights Network as agreed upon by the members.
